Women’s Health Magazine is hitting the road for its second annual Are You Game? Road Trip event. We will be working our way up the California coast, making stops for WH Adventure Days in seven cities where participants will be able to paddle the waves, ride the wind or play a few hands of poker, among other activities. Building on the success of last year’s event, the Are You Game? Road Trip will allow women to try new activities, test their limits, and most importantly, have fun! Sign up soon as space is limited. September 12th-13th The Santa Barbara Channel Swim. THE BIG SWIM Join us for the 5th Annual Santa Barbara Channel Relay Swim to benefit the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation in support of ocean conservation and Heal the Ocean.

More than 80 outstanding S.B. County restaurants and wineries will offer fantastic food and fabulous wines samplings. The honorary chairs for this year’s Taste of the Town are Richard Yates and Tina Takaya, owners of opal, one of the finest restaurants in Santa Barbara. Returning for the second year as Guest Chef is Chris Barbato from the world famous Commander’s Palace Restaurant in New Orleans. Chef Barbato will be serving one of his signature New Orleans specialties.
